I was actually thinking of using the status bar area like when you go after the cyphers for Pain inverter. Except for slavers quest it will say what the last common boss is unfinished of all members in the group. So if you go out and it does not say Duncan, then you know someone in the group is not ready before running the entire way over there and finding the door shut tight!!!
Or not the common name but something that just says that your all off to kill duncan when you go out. if someone is not ready in your party then nothing appears. Just something easy like that would be all you would need. so you know the door will open for you when you expect it too.

As someone who has also had the annoyance of several trips to Slavers only to find Duncan's door closed I agree that something should be done about it. Maybe they should change it so that Duncan's door is always open to anyone who has finished a time for heroes, but the Duncan's chest rewards are considerably better (or more numerous) for any team members who have already defeated the 4 bosses?

Actually, that might be a better idea. Change it back to the old behavior of if anyone is ready for Duncan, the door is open. However, change the chest to drop nothing for those that haven't finished the rest of bosses. That way you could call on a few guild mates to come along without waiting for hours for them to finish the first 4. Either way, I'd like to see some change.
